Learn how to fix a common problem with kamados: runaway temps. I give step by step instructions on how to lower the temperature of a kamado by over 125 degrees F in under 20 minutes. Another helpful hint is to place a large tray of cold water inside while doing this to absorb the heat. BEWARE: a risk of fireballing exists if doing this to a very hot grill. Always crack the lid momentarily before fully opening to reduce this risk.
