Blichmann Engineering released their latest product; an easy to clean electric kettle called the BoilerMaker Surface. Blichmann had sent me a couple of their earliest models to try in advance of their product launch; one prototype TC kettle and one pre-production NPT kettle. I’ve brewed with one of them already and will now provide you my opinion on this exciting new product.

On 9/4/2026. This new kettle is still not available. My 220v 20 gallon boilmaker 2 from Blichmann melted out and I can’t use it and the 240v Boilcoil is not available anywhere. So I can’t fix it and I can’t get the new one. What is is homebrewer to do?
